SINGAPORE: Guide to Budget Terminal

If you have ever been to most low-cost terminals, you'll find Singapore's Budget Terminal a breath of fresh air. You will somehow feel that you've received something more than what you actually paid for because of the amenities provided. Aside from the usual food and souvenir item shops found in most airports, you may enjoy these facilities:

Singapore Budget Terminal

Though they claim to have FREE WiFi (Wireless@SG or Access-StarHub), it is difficult to get into, because they ask for your Service Provider before you are granted access. And you need internet to connect into the portal, so it's pretty useless unless you use your Data Roaming. But to those without laptops, they have computers set up in kiosks for you to tap away those last-minute goodbyes to friends and family (OR to update your latest Facebook status *wink*).

.Public phones.
Yes, they offer FREE local calls. This is for both arrivals and departures. It was a nifty service as I was able to call my host to inform her of my arrival, and talk about when and where to meet up!

.Something for the little ones.
Do you have kids in tow? They have a mini-play area with a slide and see-saw. Near 7-11 is a "Rub And Scratch" art area to while away the time.

your kids will not get bored here

Lounge Area.
Need to get some much needed shut-eye? They have these soft and comfy sofas where you can even sprawl, if you like. Else, a flat-screen TV is provided for your entertainment.

Lounge, if you must

.Foot massage.
Tired from walking the streets of Singapore? Fret not, a machine service will give you 10-minutes of relaxation.

this is so relaxing!

To and From the City
There is a free shuttle from the Budget Terminal to Terminal 2. They frequent the route every 10 minutes or 20 minutes (2-5am). From Terminal 2, the city is accessible via MRT.
